In 2018, Massachusetts will be the first state in the nation to vote on upholding transgender dignity in public accommodations. Join us at a literary educational forum with Joy Ladin, the first openly transgender professor at an Orthodox Jewish institution. Joy will read from her book “The Soul of the Stranger: Reading God and Torah from a Transgender Perspective” (due out in November). She will also read some of her poems. Books of poetry will be available for purchase and signing.

Also learn from Taj Smith, faith organizing director for Freedom for All Massachusetts, about our efforts over the next seven months to defend the transgender people of our Commonwealth.

RSVP not required but strongly preferred.
