Interpretive Discussion: Engaging Students in Text-Based Conversations.
Teachers in all subject areas are seeking ways to help students engage with and meaningfully discuss texts (e.g., literary, historical, scientific). Haroutunian-Gordon will present her approach to effective text discussion, and guide teachers through a carefully refined process for preparing, leading and reflecting on these conversations. This technique can be used with students of all ages.
