Oren Kaunfer is madrich ruchani (spiritual educator) at JCDS, Boston’s Jewish Community Day School. Oren brings vibrant energy, soul, musicality and fire to everything he does. Drawing on a diverse background ranging from Camp Ramah, the Carlebach Shul, and years producing at MTV, Oren Kaunfer is a fresh voice of Jewish spirit. Oren has a special interest in creating lively t’fillah.
Come sing, dance and enjoy!

Oren will help us envigorate our t’fillah both with and without instrumentation.

This is a service intended for all ages.
The walls to the social hall will be open and we will have some quiet activities and snacks in the room during the service for younger children.

Bring your family, bring a friend, enjoy the experience!
Schedule for the evening:

6:00 – 6:30 – What to expect: Oren will teach us a few key melodies and nigunim and introduce ways to incorporate them with feeling into davening.

6:30 – 7:30 – Kabbalat Shabbat: We will put our learning to use; sometimes accompanied by guitar, sometimes drumming and clapping

7:30 – ??? – Oneg: We will all continue our evening with a festive Oneg in the Gaynor Social Hall
