Irene Stern Frielich will share her family’s personal story of Holocaust survival, entitled “My Father’s Roots: Courage, Compassion and Kindness.”
Irene embarked on a quest two years ago to trace her family’s escape on Kristallnacht from Nazi Germany to temporary safety in the Netherlands, until the Nazi invasion. Her family members’ lives were turned upside down many times from 1933 to 1947, and through extensive research, Irene was able to piece together the story that her father was never able to fully share with her directly.
The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required. Light refreshments available before the program. Donations are welcomed but are optional.
