Unfortunately, the awful weather—another Nor’easter on its way (oy)—has caused this event to be canceled.

JArts Kabbalat Shabbat Dinners return with this Pathways to Freedom dinner/discussion on immigration with artist Julia Vogl and UMass Boston faculty members Rosalyn Negron (Ethnicity), Vincent Cannato (History), Kenneth Reardon (Public Policy) and Janice Goldman (Leadership). Share your family’s stories about the pathways they took to reach America as we explore the history of immigration and its impact on communities today.

This is an ideal opportunity to participate in the Pathways project. Your answer to four questions about freedom will become part of Vogl’s larger-than-life visual representation of the responses from hundreds of people from across the area. Inspired by the universal themes of Passover, the installation will be on display around the Boston Common Parkman Bandstand during Art Week (beginning April 27).

Admission includes dinner.
