Hadassah Northeast and the Jewish Women’s Archive is excited to partner with Hebrew College to offer a new course exploring Jewish women’s history and the role of gender in Jewish life and thought. 

Me’ah Select: A Gendered Lens on Jewish History
is a series of four semesters offered over two years, each focusing on a different era. Participants can choose which semesters they would like to enroll in, or take the entire course. Beginning October 13, 2015, all classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9:30 p.m., at JWA’s office in Brookline, Mass.

Semester 1 (Fall 2015)
Bible Through a Gendered Lens-taught by Rachel Adelman, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Hebrew Bible at Hebrew College Rabbinical School
Semester 2 (Spring 2016)
The Rabbinic Period Through a Gendered Lens-taught by Rabbi Sharon Cohen Anisfeld, Dean of Hebrew College Rabbinical School
Semester 3 (Fall 2016)
Medieval Jewish History Through a Gendered Lens (Instructor TBA)
Semester 4 (Spring 2017)
Modern Jewish History Through a Gendered Lens-taught by JWA Executive Director Judith Rosenbaum, Ph.D.
