Rhythm ‘n’ Ruach is a parent/child music program that will give your child a strong connection to Hebrew language and Jewish culture through music, movement, yoga, drumming and dancing. Parents, caregivers and children ages 0-5 are invited to a moving and grooving, high-energy class featuring upbeat music, playing with rhythm instruments and singing songs that are guaranteed to be on the lips and in the hearts of your children throughout their growing years.

Rhythm ‘n’ Ruach for children ages 0 months to 5 years runs on Wednesdays, 11-11:45 a.m., on the following dates: Sept. 12, 26; Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31; Nov. 14; Dec. 5.

About Ellen Allard
Ellen Allard is an award-winning music educator, recording artist, composer, performer and music coach, and one of the most influential musicians on today’s Jewish music scene. Traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad, Ellen has been performing and teaching music to young children, adults and families for over 30 years. Her repertoire of over 300 songs is featured across 14 recordings and seven songbooks; her music has been published by fellow singer-songwriters on 31 additional recordings and 11 books. Ellen’s songs are sung in schools, synagogues and summer camps throughout the world, and are part of the curriculum for Hebrew Union College and Hebrew College.
In addition to presenting workshops and keynotes on the importance of music in the lives of young children, Ellen is a regular faculty member and presenter at Hava Nashira, Song Leader Boot Camp, NewCAJE and the Hebrew College Early Childhood Conference; she regularly presents workshops, leads family worship and performs on the Jewish Rock Radio stage at the URJ Biennial. She is a cantorial soloist at Mishkan Tefila in Brookline.
Ellen holds a BA in music from Boston University and a master’s degree in early childhood education from Arcadia University. Ellen is also a certified holistic health coach and a devoted yoga enthusiast, teaching baby/toddler yoga, Kidding Around Yoga and Yoga Yeladim for children.
