CJP and our partners, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) and the Synagogue Council of Massachusetts, invite you to join us for a series of trainings and consultations to enhance and address critical security needs and vulnerabilities, and obtain practical advice for your organization.

The attack at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh and the rise in racist, anti-Semitic and extremist activity around the country—and here in our local community—underscores the importance of maintaining secure yet welcoming environments to worship, learn, convene and work.

Who should attend?

Professionals and lay leaders who are responsible for or concerned about security at their Jewish organization are encouraged to attend.

Each meeting will include:

  • An overview from ADL of anti-Semitism in Massachusetts and incidents in our area
  • A review of basic security principles
  • Information on suspicious person/threatening behavior indicators
  • An introduction to malicious person/active shooter response (ALICE overview)
  • Briefings from local police departments on their partnerships
  • Time for questions and discussions

These free, two-hour sessions will take place at multiple locations across Greater Boston and will be led by Jeremy Yamin, CJP’s Associate Vice President and Director of Security & Operations. In addition to managing security at CJP’s Kraft Family Building in Boston, Jeremy provides no-cost security consultations, assessments and training to the Jewish community. He maintains close working relationships with law enforcement agencies throughout the state, some of whom will join us at the sessions.

Please note: Space is limited and registration is required.
