Unplug yourself from the frenetic pace of the week at Shabbat Unplug, where we will focus on Disability Awareness and Inclusion. Guest speaker will be Molly Silverman, manager of the Ruderman Synagogue Inclusion Project, will speak about synagogues’ partnership with CJP in this project.

The program will have greeters and interpreters for the hearing impaired, large print books and assisted listening devices. The accessibility of these modifications at Temple Emeth will be highlighted and awareness of their availability will be promoted.

This event is dedicated to the memory of two Temple Emeth congregants who lived with physical and intellectual disabilities, and will be a celebration of them and their contributions to the congregation.

Cantor Michael McCloskey, Rabbi Alan Turetz and song leader David Wesson will offer a soothing Shabbat experience featuring the Levites band – piano, guitar and light percussion.

Reservations are requested for the enhanced kiddush to follow the service. Donations to help defray costs are appreciated.
