Looking for a wonderful, musical, joyful, justice-fueled activity to do with your family or community on Mother’s Day?

Boston Workers Circle’s Chorus, led by music director David Derek, will be joined by Golden Thread Ensemble to present “Sing Out, Fight Back! Yiddish Songs of Social Change,” a concert that is sure to inspire and sustain our ongoing work for collective freedom.

“A Besere Velt” is a vibrant, 80-member, intergenerational Yiddish chorus that weaves the heartache and irrepressible idealism of Yiddish music into a vision of justice and humanity for the 21st century. Golden Thread Ensemble is a pioneering new chamber-klezmer group led by Craig Judelman, featuring The Klezmatics’ frontman Lorin Sklamberg, and a virtuosic string quintet made up of leading klezmer musicians.

Tickets are available for virtual or in-person attendance. Delicious refreshments and drinks will be available for purchase at the Armory.
