S’lichot—from the word s’licha, forgive—are penitential prayers recited during the week prior to Rosh Hashanah. The first time these prayers are said is on the Saturday night before Rosh Hashanah. Learning and discussion prior to the S’lichot service will focus on a reflective text and Yontef melodies. There will be light refreshment and plenty of opportunity for questions. The S’lichot service itself will begin at midnight and lasts approximately 45 minutes.+ More... - Less...
