Join Peabody Institute Library senior programming librarian Gabi as she tells her grandfather’s remarkable survival and immigration story in commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day.
This story takes us through Gabi’s Zaidy’s life, first as a child in a border town, then in hiding in Hungary, and then miraculously reuniting with the rest of his family and eventually immigrating to the United States. Gabi will present her grandfather’s story in an engaging and interactive presentation, followed by a Q&A and an opportunity to share stories.
Featuring special guest Dr. Nikki Freeman, education director at the new Boston Holocaust Museum. Nikki will speak briefly about the Holocaust Museum and moderate the Q&A.
