In partnership with the Jewish Arts Collaborative.
Join us for Havdalah, the Jewish ritual to say goodbye to the day of rest, and embark on a musical trek to kingdoms long forgotten and bustling towns now vanished. This evening intertwines Sephardic music and stories from communities lost to war and upheaval. The Vilna is the only performance in the Boston-area on this national tour. Follow the stories of vagabond queens, pauper poets, and lovers lost to the sea, wrapped within harmonies evoking Flamenco’s gutsiness and the longings of Fado. Tales from the Forgotten Kingdom is a semi-theatrical adventure with a cast of characters worthy of a cutthroat fantasy novel.
