Yom Kippur

October 4, 2014 Waltham $295.00 0

Our morning service includes Yizkor, a time for remembering loved ones who have died, following the reading of the Torah, at approximately noon. The Musaf service at 1:15pm includes the beautiful liturgy unique to the High Holydays. Children’s services start at 10:00am. Childcare begins at 10:00am, ends at 1:15pm and resumes at 5:15pm.

Continue the day of reflection with a walk in the woods after services! At 3:30pm, Rabbi Toba Spitzer will lead text study, followed by Tai Chi and Chi Gong at 4:15pm. We are thrilled to have Peter Wayne, director of Tree of Life Tai Chi, joining us to lead this session.

The afternoon Mincha service at 5:20pm, will feature creative study and discussion, followed by a special service of remembrance. The day closes at 6:30pm with Ne’ilah, the dramatic finale to the day, culminating with Havdallah and a communal shofar-blowing (bring your own shofar!). A light Break-Fast will be served following services at 7:15 pm.

We welcome our members and the larger Jewish community to our High Holydays services. Pricing varies: Please see our website for complete pricing options (http://dorsheitzedek.org/high-holydays-donations).
