Kerem Shalom—Vineyard of Peace—of Concord warmly invites the community to join us in-person and online for services and special programs for Yom Kippur 5784!

We welcome non-members and friends to join Rabbi Darby Leigh and Kerem Shalom Cantor Rosalie Gerut in uplifting and spiritual prayer and song as we welcome the new year together.

We look forward to sharing the following services and programs:

Erev Yom Kippur (Kol Nidre), Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023

  • 6 p.m. – Community Service, in-person and online, with live captioning. Childcare for ages 3 to 9 will be available.

Yom Kippur, Monday, Sept. 25, 2023

  • 8:30 a.m. – Early Childhood Family Service, in-person, with ASL captioning and online.
  • 10 a.m. – Community Service, in-person and online, with live captioning. All children are welcome during the community service. We also will offer childcare primarily geared to young children (ages 3 to 9). Students in grades 3 to 6 are invited to come to the first part of the service and then to join in age-appropriate holiday activities with Rabbi Sam Pollak during the Torah Service and, optionally, continuing through Yizkor.
  • 12:30 p.m. – Yizkor (Memorial Service), in-person and online, with live captioning.
  • 2 p.m. – Torah Study, with Rabbi Sam Pollak, in-person only.
  • 3 p.m. – Mindfulness Meditation, with KS member Scott Sancetta, in-person only.
  • 4 p.m. – Musical Musaf Service, with Tiferet Ensemble, in-person only. For those at home, Click here to view the Musical Musaf video from 2020.
  • p.m. – Mincha (Afternoon Service), in-person and online, with live captioning. Childcare and supervised activities and snacks for children ages 3 and up will be offered during all Yom Kippur afternoon services.
  • p.m. – Neilah (Closing Service), in-person and online, with live captioning.
  • p.m. – Havdalah, in-person and online, with live captioning.

Donations of $360 recommended for each adult guest to attend all High Holy Days services and programs.
