Temple Emanu-El in Haverhill is pleased to announce that Jamie Bernstein will be speaking about her book, “Famous Father Girl: A Memoir of Growing Up Bernstein.”

Leonard Bernstein was a composer, conductor, television star and humanitarian. He was also a father. In “Famous Father Girl,” Jamie Bernstein, his eldest daughter, invites the reader into her family’s private world. “Bernstein paints a fascinating picture of the dizzying magic that Leonard Bernstein brought to his music—and the complexity to his home life” (Publishers Weekly).

Copies of “Famous Father Girl” will be available for purchase and signing following the program. A continental breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m., followed by the presentation at 10 a.m.

To help us plan, RSVP by contacting the temple office at Nancy@TempleEmanu-El.org or 978-373-3861. Walk-ins will also be welcome.

Temple Emanu-El would like to thank its patrons, Cowan Insurance Agency, Stuart Mandell (in memory of his beloved wife, Ada), and Smith Motors Company of Haverhill, and its sponsors, H. L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes and Pentucket Bank, for their generous support of its 2019 Author Series.
