Temple Emanu-El in Haverhill invites members and visitors alike to join us on a delectable journey through the religious history of chocolate with Rabbi Deborah Prinz, author of “On the Chocolate Trail: A Delicious Adventure Connecting Jews, Religions, History, Travel, Rituals and Recipes to the Magic of Cacao.”

Join Rabbi Prinz on a culinary exploration of the historical connection between Jews and chocolate. “On the Chocolate Trail” spans several cultures, countries, centuries and convictions, examining how faith traditions share consumption, ritual and business interests in chocolate. Those interested in the connectedness among peoples—or in chocolate!—will crave Rabbi Prinz’s unique approach. Copies of “On the Chocolate Trail” will be available for purchase and signing following the program. Chocolate candies and baked goods will also be for sale to benefit the Temple Emanu-El Religious School Parent Teacher Organization.

A continental breakfast will be served at 9:30 a.m., and the presentation will follow at 10 a.m.

A donation of $10 per person is suggested. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by contacting the temple office at Nancy@TempleEmanu-El.org or 978-373-3861 by Wednesday, Oct. 17. Walk-ins will also be welcome.
