While we can’t gather with 3,500 of our closest friends for Hanukkah in the museum this year, we can celebrate with the museum online. Join us for the evening so many of us have come to love, all without the parking!

Family-friendly programming begins at 5 p.m., featuring:

  • Hanukkah music with Oren Kaunfer of Boston’s Jewish Community Day School
  • Art with Erica Smiley of The Rashi School
  • Story time with Rebecca Lurie of Solomon Schechter Day School
  • Digital Hanukkah animations with students from MetroWest Jewish Day School
  • Hanukkah words with Rebecca Redner of Gateways: Access to Jewish Education
  • A special “Brighter Connected” art connection with Tova Speter

Register for the family programming here.

Join us at 6 p.m. as we honor the rich history and traditions of the Jewish Festival of Lights through music, dance, an artist talk and a community candle-lighting, including:

  • Music from multi-instrumentalist Hankus Netsky
  • Simona Di Nepi, Charles and Lynn Schusterman Curator of Judaica at the MFA Boston, in conversation with artists Moshe Zabari and Tamar Paley
  • Boston Dance Theater performing “Shadows and Flame,” a new work commissioned for this Hanukkah celebration

In partnership with Cupixel, Gateways: Access to Jewish Education, Hebrew SeniorLife, Hebrew College, IAC Boston, JCC Greater Boston, JCDS, PJ Library, The Rashi School, Solomon Schechter Day School and the Consulate General of Israel to New England.
