Join the Riverway Project and Rabbi Jen Gubitz at Temple Israel for “High Holy Day Prep: S’lichot Edition.” Gather at 8 p.m. for a light dinner and drinks, learning and reflection! As the sun sets, the Temple Israel clergy will lead us in a candlelit Havdalah and S’lichot ceremony to carry us deeper into the High Holy Day season.
The High Holy Days can be among the most powerful moments in the Jewish calendar. They can offer us opportunities for reflection and repentance, a chance to hit refresh on our values and relationships. They can hit us with joyful revelations or painful truths. Or they can be utterly boring, meaningless and we’re not sure why we go or how to pass the time! Truly, it’s up to us what these days can be.
What is S’lichot? Learn more here.
There is no cost for this evening, but please let us know you’re coming so we can have enough food!+ More... - Less...
