The Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston teaches an award-winning course on how to research your Jewish family history. The course is designed both for beginners and for those who have started their family research. Class size is limited to permit student participation. Students will need to know how to do basic internet searches, log into websites and use Zoom. 

Classes are taught by experts from JGSGB and cover:

  • Basic research strategies and skills
  • Major online resources and software
  • Jewish migration history and changing European borders
  • Jewish names and traditions
  • Finding immigrant ancestors in U.S., European and Israeli records
  • Identifying Holocaust victims and survivors
