Jewish Mindfulness Meditation is a comforting, loving and strength-building approach to help us navigate life’s ups and downs. In order to be fully there for others, we also need to learn  to love ourselves fully  as a friend, an aspect of the central  teaching of the Torah that Rabbi Hillel  famously  expounded on one foot with his treasured  words, “Love your friend as yourself.”

About the class: Each class will draw from the parashah of the week, the Jewish calendar, and/or Jewish mystical teachings, as well as include mindfulness meditation instruction, practice time and opportunity for questions and sharing.  Three, optional, 10 minute, one-on-one private check-ins between classes with the instructor will also be offered. All levels of meditation experience are welcome.

About Shoshana:  Shoshana (Susan) Cetlin, the instructor, has been leading weekly Shabbat morning Jewish meditation classes and other programs at the Tiferet Center of Temple Israel: A Place for Jewish Spirituality, Wellness and Healing (a community resource she helped establish 10 years ago). Last year, Shoshana completed an 18-month teacher training program in Jewish Mindfulness Meditation at the Institute of Jewish Spirituality. She is a psychologist in Sharon, MA.
