Join us for a fascinating conversation about the restaurants and delis that shaped Jewish Brookline with “The Jews of Boston” co-authors Dr. Jonathan Sarna and Dr. Ellen Smith, and Dr. Shuly Rubin Schwartz, grand-daughter of the family behind the famed Rubin’s Deli, Boston’s first kosher restaurant. Rubin’s, Jack and Marion’s, Pick-a-Chick and, now, Zaftigs, have all played a role in shaping the town’s character and have drawn all types of people to Brookline to experience Jewish cooking.

Of course, we can’t talk deli without eating some deli—evening will begin with some kosher nosh!
