Join us for a fascinating conversation about the restaurants and delis that shaped Jewish Brookline with “The Jews of Boston” co-author Dr. Jonathan Sarna, Dr. Shuly Rubin Schwartz (granddaughter of the family behind the famed Rubin’s Deli) and moderator Jessica Alpert-Silber. Rubin’s, Jack and Marion’s, Pick-a-Chick and, now, Zaftigs, have all played a role in shaping the town’s character and have drawn all types of people to Brookline to experience Jewish cooking.

Of course, we can’t talk deli without eating some deli—the evening will begin with some kosher nosh!
