Join our experts as they share with us why they decided to pursue doctoral research and how their perspectives on science have changed over the years. Rachel Shapiro (Ph.D. candidate) will discuss her time in graduate school and what it means to be a Ph.D. candidate and defend a dissertation. Rachel is currently a Ph.D. candidate in chemical and biomolecular engineering at Johns Hopkins University. She was the inaugural assistant director of URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy-West and spent many summers at the URJ Kutz Camp and a summer as the program director at Sci-Tech East.
