Massachusetts premiere. A touching French comedic drama by director Mikael Buch (“Let My People Go,” BJFF 2012). Simon, recently released from a psychiatric hospital, is about to become a father and his wife, Rivkah, a rabbi, is unconvinced that he is ready. Meanwhile, Rivkah’s young student, Théodore, is secretly studying for his bar mitzvah and hoping his father will show up. When, on the big day, Théodore runs away from the synagogue, Simon sees an opportunity to change Rivkah’s mind about him, and follows Théodore. As the impulsive duo travels through Paris, they learn what it means to take care of each other.+ More... - Less...
