Michael Strauss presents two talks:

New York City Research: Navigating Through the Five Boroughs

Many of us have ancestors who began their American experience in New York City. The five boroughs of the city offer many genealogical resources. This presentation offers a unique perspective on the various genealogical sources and records available in New York City.

The Great War: Researching Your World War I Ancestors

Perhaps one of your grandfathers may have served in World War I.  When the war began in 1914, the United States had declared its neutrality, but many citizens were caught up with events on the world stage. Strauss will introduce us to various genealogical sources that reveal the feelings, attitudes and reactions of our citizens and officials.

Michael Strauss is an accredited genealogist and a nationally recognized genealogical lecturer.
