In many states, access to abortion is hanging on by a thread. Donald Trump and politicians like him are stopping at nothing to ban abortion. But in Massachusetts, we are pushing forward.

This month, we will be hosting a Tzedek Salon discussion with Kim Kargman, organizing manager at Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund (PPAF) of Massachusetts.

In this role, she is responsible for organizing the grassroots coalition that has been hard at work alongside elected leaders who are championing the ROE Act—a bold piece of state legislation that not only re-affirms the right to safe, legal abortion, but guarantees it is accessible and affordable to all people.

In addition to PPAF, the ROE Act coalition is co-led by NARAL Pro-Choice MA and ACLU of MA, and the more than 60 coalition partners, including statewide and community-based advocacy organizations, labor unions, faith organizations and organizations representing health care providers, lawyers, young people and youth-serving professionals.

Tzedek Salon, a program of JALSA, brings young people in their 20s and 30s together with activists and policy experts at local bars to explore the issues facing our society.

Space is wheelchair accessible and light refreshments will be served. For all other accessibility questions, please contact rachael@jalsa.org.
