Rabbi Claudio J. Kogan, MD, MBE, MEd, is a clinical associate professor of medicine behavior in society at the School of Medicine. He is also an ordained rabbi and director of The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine’s Institute for Bioethics and Social Justice. Previously, he served as rabbi for Temple Emanuel in McAllen, Texas, and continues to serve as a chaplain for various law enforcement agencies and hospital systems throughout the area.
