Please join us for the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies annual Yom HaShoah commemoration. In memory of the Holocaust, we will have a generational candle-lighting ceremony for families of survivors, the presentation of the Sonia Schreiber Weitz Upstander Award for select regional students, as well as traditional readings and songs performed by The Salem State Community Chorus and Temple Emanu-El’s Jewish Music Neighborhood.

This year’s keynote speakers include Holocaust survivor Janet Applefield and artist Richard Wiesel. Congregation Shirat Hayam’s Cantor Alty Weinreb will lead memorial prayers.

Please email Chris Mauriello at cmauriello@salemstate.edu if you have any questions.
