The Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Salem State University will host its annual Yom HaShoah remembrance ceremony virtually. Yom HaShoah is held in honor and remembrance of victims and survivors of the Holocaust. The program will consist of a combination of live and pre-recorded remarks, reflections and music.

The recorded remarks will be delivered by U.S. Congressman Seth Moulton and John D. Keenan, president of Salem State University. Rachael Cerrotti will read from her forthcoming memoir and reflect on her grandmother’s survival of the Holocaust. Rabbis David Meyer and Richard Perlman will lead the memorial service. The keynote address will be given by professor Laura Jockusch, who will speak about the survivors’ notion of justice and revenge.

Students and guests who anticipate needing accommodations due to a disability or who have questions about access may contact disability services at access@salemstate.edu.

This event is supported by CJP and Temple Emanu-El.
