Cannabidiol (CBD) has become a transformative agent in improving health and wellness and is now used for far-ranging conditions including sleep, pain relief, anxiety, neuropathy and more. Despite emerging widespread use, a lot of information and misinformation exists in the marketplace.
This series will focus on the science of cannabinoid therapy, define the differences between CBD and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), explain the pros and cons of the many cannabis products available and how you might consider safely and effectively using them to improve your quality of life. Could CBD provide some relief for you or someone you love?
Kurt Kalker, registered nurse and member of the American Cannabis Nurses Association and United Patients Group, brings his extensive medical knowledge to this informative talk, followed by a Q&A. As a pediatric RN for 25 years, Kalker has experience in acute care, medical/surgical, neonatal intensive care, community health clinics, home health, school nursing and a competency in cannabinoid therapies.
These workshops can be taken as a series of three or individually around specific topics:
Jan. 21: Cannabis and CBD: Are You Curious?
Feb. 3: CBD, Sleep and Anxiety
Feb. 17: CBD and Pain Management
