We are thrilled to welcome Pam Schuller for a weekend full of laughs, learning, and inclusion.
As a teen, Schuller had the worst diagnosed case of Tourette syndrome in the country, a touch of obsessive compulsive disorder, and a whole lot of pent-up anger. She spent years depressed and wishing her differences away. Over time, she started looking at her life differently and turned her obstacles and challenges into the very fuel that propels her.
Now an internationally known disability and mental health advocate and professional stand-up comedian, Schuller’s stories of growing up in a body she had no control over are engaging, powerful, a little bit heart-wrenching, and unapologetically funny.
Friday, Oct. 16: “What Do I Say Now? Communication Across Generations”
7:15 p.m. | Dinner program after services
The world, language and expectations around mental health, disability and identity have changed, and sometimes we simply don’t know what to say when a child or grandchild is struggling. Pamela will share personal stories and create an open, interactive space to explore how asking better questions, listening and fostering open communication can build stronger connections across generations.
Saturday, Oct. 17: “Seriously Funny”
7 p.m. | Adult comedy show
What happens when life throws you a curveball? You find the funny. Through stand-up comedy and storytelling, Pamela takes audiences on a hilarious and heartfelt journey through the unexpected moments, awkward encounters and spectacular curveballs that come with being human. Come for the laughs, stay for the stories and leave seeing possibility where you didn’t see it before.
Sunday, Oct. 18: Failing & Building Resilience

This engaging session offers concrete tools for helping young people navigate failure and build resilience.
