Dr. Kligler will speak at Temple Beth David of the South Shore. Titled “The Death I Want,” this program is free to the public. Please join us for breakfast.

Retired physician Dr. Roger Kligler has incurable Stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. He has filed suit against the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, asserting that both the state constitution and existing state law give terminally ill adults the legal option to get a doctor’s prescription for medication they can decide to take to die peacefully in their sleep if their suffering becomes unbearable. He will discuss his journey from physician, to patient, to advocate.

Dr. Kligler practiced in Brockton, where he was an internist and medical director of Goddard Medical Associates and Bridgewater-Goddard-Park Medical Associates. He is joined by his wife of 38 years, Cathy, who was a local attorney and one of the co-founders of the Children’s Museum in Easton.
