Vic, a young Russian immigrant, drives a medical transport vehicle for people with disabilities in Milwaukee. When he discovers his grandfather and his elderly neighbor stranded en route to a funeral, he agrees to drive them but needs to stop along the way for his other passengers, including Tracy, a young African American woman with ALS.
On the verge of being fired, Vic’s day goes from bad to worse as protesters take to the streets, shutting down roads. This funny, sweet and charmingly chaotic day-in-the-life story is about marginalized characters encountering literal and figurative roadblocks within a rigged system.
