Is the cost of health care today in the U.S. justified? Join HOH for a lively debate on the state of U.S. health care and the possible futures of American health care with Jennifer Atlas from Franciscan Children’s Hospital.

The schedule is as follows:

6:30 p.m. – Appetizers and schmoozing
7 p.m. – Shabbat services
8:15 p.m. – Featured speaker and Shabbat dinner

Jennifer Atlas serves as the director of strategy and special projects for Franciscan Children’s, a specialty hospital located in the metropolitan Boston area for children with special health care needs. Prior to her time at Franciscan Children’s, Jennifer worked at Philadelphia’s largest Latino social service agency, Congreso de Latinos Unidos, as manager of primary care projects. In that role, Jennifer spearheaded Congreso’s efforts to establish a federally qualified health center for the local community, as well as led quality assurance, service integration and the development of special projects across the agency’s health programs. Jennifer received her MS in health policy and management from the Harvard School of Public Health, where she was a Mitchell Dong Scholar, and a BA in public health and Latin American studies from Haverford College. In her free time, Jennifer greatly enjoys traveling and serves as co-chair of the steering committee for the Jewish Community Relations Council’s ReachOut! volunteer program for young professionals.
