Get ready to laugh out loud as Cantor Jeff Klepper, of Temple Sainai in Sharon and Hebrew College in Newton, takes you on a journey through the Jewish-American landscape of the past century. The hilarious parodies and satires of giants like Eddie Cantor, Fanny Brice, Mickey Katz, Mel Brooks, Allan Sherman, Tom Lehrer, Shel Silverstein and Kinky Friedman reveal much about the Jewish search for cultural identity in America. Cantor Klepper has been collecting Jewish “novelty songs” for years and sharing them with audiences across the country. Enjoy rare video clips and discussion with Cantor Klepper, a superstar in the Jewish music world himself as half of the duo Kol B’Seder. Kol B’Seder’s music, which started with Shalom Rav in 1973, has become a cherished part of camps, schools, and services in Jewish communities far and wide.

This event is recommended for ages 16 and older. For more information email adulted@congregationshalom.org or call the temple office at (978) 251-8091.
