Join us for a sushi and study class entitled “Wrestling with Faith” from Jewish Learning Institute. Sushi lunch and textbooks provided.

This stand-alone class offers insight into some of the most important questions in Judaism, including:

  • Where’s the evidence?
  • Why do some Jewish practices seem primitive?
  • Why would a good God do bad stuff?
  • Do religious beliefs contradict scientific discoveries?
  • How can I enjoy a close relationship with God?
  • Does God really care?

This class is the first of a six-session series to explore a deeper sense of being. For both those who wrestle with faith and those who don’t, this course is bound to give a new perspective on Jewish essentials. “Wrestling with Faith” was created for tackling questions like these, the “big issues” that challenge our intimate faith with God. In this class we acknowledge the often unspoken doubts and questions that all people share as we share their invitation for us to dig deeper for the answers.
