Join us at the Lyman Estate in Waltham for an in-person screening of the beloved 2007 Israeli film, recently adapted for Broadway.

The Alexandria Ceremonial Police Orchestra arrives in Israel to perform in Petah Tikva but a mix-up at the airport leads them to the remote town of Beit Hatikva. Stuck there until the next morning’s bus, the severe, repressed band leader Tawfiq (Sasson Gabay, “Shtisel”) gets help from an enchanting local woman, Dina (Ronit Elkabetz, “Gett”), who offers to put them up for the night. Throughout the night, the band and the townspeople develop a fleeting but sincere camaraderie through quiet happenings and confessions.

This screening will be preceded by a musical performance.
