This six-part course immerses participants in wine tasting, wine appreciation, and the art of wine and food pairing, using the experiences as windows into Jewish history and culture.
At each session, we will taste groupings of 4-6 wines and study particular historical phenomena or Jewish texts related to those specific wines. Examples include “Israeli Wines and Israeli History” and “French and Spanish Wines and the Sephardic Dispersion.” We will conclude by testing our palates with a blind tasting.
All wines served will be kosher!
