Zamir Chorale of Boston, conducted by Josh Jacobson, artistic director, will join forces with Nashirah, the acclaimed Jewish Chorale of Philadelphia, for a concert in Newton.
The combined choruses will encompass the audience on three sides for an immersive sonic experience similar to our recent concert in the round. The program will feature music from a variety of traditions, including Hebrew, Yiddish, and Ladino songs; tributes to America’s semiquincentennial; and an ode to Kyiv, the birthplace of Nashirah’s conductor, Julia Zavadsky.
