Join us in celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies with an Intimate Concert featuring Mira Awad and Yair Dalal.

Palestinian-Israeli singer-songwriter, Mira Awad and Israeli singer and musician, Yair Dalal will combine their voices and instruments at this intimate event. The evening includes dessert and a conversation with the two artists/activists about creating an environment for peace in the Middle East.

Mira Awad is an actress, singer, and songwriter. Her music is a harmonious melange of sounds, with influences from the East and West, combining Arabic melodies and Western harmonies. Mira speaks widely against discrimination of all kinds including gender, religion, and ethnicity. Her beliefs are clear when listening to her body of work. She has collaborated with artists across the Middle East, and the world, in multiple genres.

Yair Dalal writes music that reflects his beliefs and upbringing. His fourteen albums are diverse and influenced by world music, but represent Israeli, Jewish and Middle Eastern cultures, fusing them musically and harmoniously. In addition to musical endeavors, Yair is a peace activist, devoted to building a bridge of understanding between different cultures.
