Annual Scholar in Residence Weekend at Temple Sinai

This year’s Scholar in Residence event features a full weekend of learning and discussion with noted scholar Dr. Richard Address about caring for aging parents and caring for ourselves as we face growing older.  The weekend begins at Erev Shabbat services on Friday, November 18, 7:30 pm when Dr. Address will speak on the topic, “Living Longer, Living Better”  On Saturday, November 19, at 9:30 am, Dr. Address will leads us in a discussion, “Walk with Me: Reflections on Aging” and that afternoon 3:00-4:30 pm, he will talk about:  “Making Worrisome Decisions”   The weekend concludes on Sunday morning, November 20, at 9:30 am when Dr. Address will talk about “Caring for the Soul. ” Rabbi Richard F. Address, is the Founder and Director of www.jewishsacredaging.com  to create awareness and resources for congregations on the emerging longevity revolution. Author of a number of books, Rabbi Address founded the URJ Department of Jewish Family Concerns, serves faculty at HUC-JIR in New York and also hosts a weekly radio show in Philadelphia.  Temple Sinai invites the community to join us for one of these discussions or for all of them.
