A cocktail reception and program, featuring Kitty Dukakis and former Governor Michael Dukakis in a conversation about supporting people with mental health challenges.

You are warmly invited to join the Ruderman Synagogue Inclusion Project (RSIP) and CJP at Celebrating Inclusion: Opening Doors to Jewish Community. We’ll enjoy an unforgettable evening and celebrate the progress of our RSIP Partners, while welcoming our new congregational Partners and Affiliates.

RSIP is a partnership between CJP and the Ruderman Family Foundation that supports synagogues in creating communities where people of all abilities are valued equally and participate fully.

This evening will feature a conversation with Kitty Dukakis and former Governor Michael Dukakis, who will discuss the importance of destigmatizing mental illness and how to best support individuals and families affected by mental health issues.

Governor and Mrs. Dukakis will be joined by their friends Cynthia Piltch, who founded the Temple Isaiah Mental Health Initiative, and her husband, Jamie W. Katz. With moderator Sarah Abramson, CJP’s Vice President, Caring, Community Impact, and Strategic Partnerships, we’ll explore how inclusive synagogues can transform lives and support congregants who are dealing with mental health issues. In addition, we’ll hear from Ruderman Family Foundation president Jay Ruderman, and Ruderman Family trustee Sharon Shapiro.
