Chagigah Radio host Hal Slifer welcomes Stephanie Butnick and Alison Wachtler as this week’s guest DJs.

Stephanie Butnick is the deputy editor of Tablet Magazine and a host of the Unorthodox podcast. She is the author, along with her co-hosts, of “The Newish Jewish Encyclopedia: From Abraham to Zabar’s and Everything in Between.” She’ll be at the Yiddish Book Center on March 5 talking about Tablet’s other book, “The 100 Most Jewish Foods: A Highly Debatable List.” On Chagigah Radio, Stephanie will talk about her life and career and choose a few of her favorite tunes from the Chagigah music library.

Alison Wachtler is an actress, writer and producer from New York now living in Weston, where she has been active in the community in various charities and causes. She has been working on stage, television, film and on air for over 30 years. Alison will discuss one of her favorite Jewish memories and choose a tune to go along with that memory in a feature we call “The Chagigah Memory and Melody.”

Our mini concert this week will include the top three tunes on the Israeli music charts and a musical salute to singer and songwriter Carol King. Jerry Seinfeld will be  featured on our Chagigah Comedy segment, while a movie by Stephen Spielberg will be chosen as a Movie Maven.

Join us for music, humor and schmoozing on a Sunday morning!
