Chagigah Radio host Hal Slifer welcomes the music of internationally acclaimed Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band as this week’s mini concert performers. Nathaniel Seelen, the clarinetist of the group, will call in to talk about the history and stories of this band and will choose a few tunes from the Chagigah music library to showcase the band’s engaging contemporary interpretation of Jewish music.

Hal will talk with members of our Chagigah family as they share with us the TV shows, movies and film series they have been binging on during our stay-at-home environment. This week’s members include film actress Alison Wachtler, WERS staff member Ashley Peterson, Ariana Cohen-Halberston of Boston Jewish Film and Joey Baron from Jewish Arts Collaborative.

Rabbi David Meyer starts a new feature called “Our Jewish Heritage and The Hits” as he introduces us to the music of Sammy Davis Jr.

Rabbi Josh Breindel, Dr. Alan Kaplan and Michele Tamaren share music and calming thoughts during these troubling times.

We’ll have Chagigah Comedy, music from the Israeli pop charts and stories about our moms and grandmothers as we get ready for Mother’s Day.

Join us for music, humor and schmoozing on a Sunday morning!

To listen, tune into 88.9 WERS.
