Grab a canoe or kayak and (th)row those sins away! The High Holy Days (Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur) are a time to release the weight of the year that is now behind us, and during tashlich, we do that by symbolically casting our sins into a body of flowing water.

18Doors and Modern JewISH Couples are excited to partner this year, as we rent canoes or kayaks and row out together to meditate and reflect on the past year, preparing ourselves for the joys of the year to come.

Prefer to stay on solid ground? Join Rabbi Gubitz to do tashlich from the dock. Then we’ll all head over to a bar nearby where the first round of drinks is on us.

You can choose to rent a single or double canoe or kayak, bring your own boat or stay on dry land through the duration of our event. The choice is yours!

We take everyone’s health, safety, and comfort seriously. All event participants must be fully vaccinated and boosted. Please see the registration page for more details.

Modern JewISH Couples is sponsored by the Covenant Foundation and the Natan Fund.
