Join the Boston Theological Interreligious Consortium (BTI) and the Miller Center for an evening of shared food, interreligious ritual, and microservice opportunities from Repair the World. Held under the sukkah at Hebrew College, this is a unique opportunity to build community across faith traditions through story, song, and mutual hospitality.
Sukkot’s themes of welcoming guests (ushpizin) and impermanence offer a natural invitation to reflect together on gratitude, hospitality, and how our different traditions each hold space for the stranger and the guest.
As part of the evening, Repair the World will lead a hands-on service activity: Soup-kkot, a soup jar packing project benefiting a local food pantry. Guests will assemble jars of dry soup mix to be delivered to families facing food insecurity in the Boston area, a small, tangible act of care that echoes the sukkah’s own spirit of hospitality and provision for those in need. No experience necessary. All materials will be provided, and the activity is designed to be quick and meaningful so everyone can take part alongside the evening’s other programming.
Come ready to eat, sing, reflect, and give back, all under the same roof of branches and stars.
