Boston nonprofit Terezín Music Foundation presents a concert of music by composers whose artistry sustained them during the Holocaust, performed by Yo-Yo Ma (special video performance), violin virtuoso Nathan Meltzer, actress Annette Miller, members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Steven Lipsitt, Coro Allegro directed by David Hodgkins, and more, including a performance of Hans Krása’s lyrical “Brundibar” suite with survivor Michael Gruenbaum of the Terezín cast and a commission by poet Salman Masalha and composer Sivan Eldar.

CDC director Rochelle Walensky will be honored and will speak at the dinner; Belgian survivor Simon Gronowski, also honored, will speak and perform at the concert. Proceeds benefit TMF concerts, commissions, recordings, publications and Holocaust and genocide education programs worldwide.

Reception will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the concert at 6 p.m. and an optional benefactors’ dinner with the honorees and artists.
