Join us for a Pride Month celebration of queer Jewish families with a screening of the new Israeli documentary “The Holy Closet” followed by a panel of religious LGBTQ+ Jews.

What does the wedding ceremony of two religious Jewish gay men look like? Or the pregnancy of a trans religious man? Or a Sefardi circumcision of a son born to two lesbians? “The Holy Closet” features seven stories depicting lifecycle moments of LGBTQ Jews who chose to remain religious, building their daily lives, relationships and families according to Jewish tradition. This is a celebratory, poignant and often funny presentation of the lives of queer Jews who are reshaping Orthodoxy in Israel.

The Vilna, Eshel, The Consulate General of Israel to New England, Combined Jewish Philanthropies and Boston Pride for the People are pleased to host a screening of this groundbreaking Israeli film (with subtitles) followed by a panel of religious LGBTQ Jews. In association with Keshet and A Wider Bridge.
