Join us for a webinar with Dr. Simone Alicia, globally known as “the self-esteem doctor” on “Girls Mental Health Series: Social Media and Self-Esteem.” These days, social media can seem inescapable. While there are benefits to this age of interconnectedness, we also know that social media use correlates to higher rates of anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem among our youth.

Dr. Simone Alicia’s presentation is specifically designed to provide a real world view of self-esteem and how it can be impacted by social media. Her goal is to discuss and demonstrate tools and concepts and to provide practical strategies for helping teachers and parents to support youth in moving forward with healthy self-esteem in the world of social media.

The Our Daughters, Our Future mental health speaker series is sponsored with the generous support of The Miriam Fund of Boston’s Combined Jewish Philanthropies. The individual webinars in the series touch upon the experiences of girls, boys, and non-binary individuals, and parents and educators of teens of all genders are welcome and encouraged to attend.
