This course is rooted in key areas that youth-serving professionals requested additional training to supplement the content received through prior mental health trainings aimed at supporting youth. This course, developed in consultation with a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in adolescence, is designed to help amplify your work connected to three main protective factors inherent in Jewish youth and synagogue settings: supportive adults, peer relationship and spirituality.

The eCourse can be completed at your own pace and typically takes approximately 8-10 hours to complete. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn with a cohort of colleagues committed to creating supportive environments for youth in Jewish settings through three facilitated sessions aimed at helping you apply content, address challenges and work through aspects of the content together.

In order to take the course, you must have previously taken QPR, ASIST or YMHFA training and be able to provide records of certification.

TJEP will be offering YMHFA Training on Jan. 27 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Register for the training here.

CJP will be offering QPR on Jan. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information and to register, click here.

In addition to increasing your comfort and competence, you will receive a certificate of completion upon completion of the course.

Additional details, including important dates and a preview of the course, can be found here. Contact Margie or Leah for more information or with any questions.

Please note: This course is offered for a cost of $25. If you are a Boston-area teen educator, CJP will cover this cost. Contact Leah with questions.
